Dax Davis has spent more than seventeen years successfully building diverse businesses in the information technology industry. Dax is a proven leader who balances priorities throughout an organization – technology, sales, and operations – optimizing corporate resources for maximum profits and productivity. He has propelled startup businesses to market dominance and highly profitable sales and has brought near bankrupt companies back to profitability quickly.
Previously, Dax joined Imaginuity Interactive as its Senior Vice President. As a member of the executive team, he focused on the implementation of Imaginuity’s corporate strategy. Bringing his skill in operations management, he will helped advance the development of Imaginuity’s technology and project implementation capabilities.
Prior to Imaginuity, Dax was CEO/COO and Board Member of Benefit Delivery Solutions, Inc. (BDS). BDS is an ASP Employee Benefits Management solution doing business as GetBenefits.com. Dax turned around this troubled ASP; improved it to profitability on flat sales, enrolled over 70,000 users, and executed a profitable sale in 18 months.. He cut monthly support costs 95% by implementing Web-based customer support system while improving customer satisfaction. The improvement was brought about by cost cutting, streamlining the development process, and reengineering the product line. In addition, Dax implemented a new, user-friendly Web site for ASP that yielded 100% retention rate among previously unhappy clients.
Vectrix acquired NVision Design, and Dax became a member of its executive team. NVision, and Dax, became an important part of Vectrix’ ability to deliver end-to-end e-Commerce solutions. Dax continued many of the same functions that he held at Vectrix. In addition he helped reengineer Vectrix’ entire process, from sales to delivery. Dax continued to work with distinguished clientele, such as, American Airlines, M&M Mars, Frito Lay, Lucent, Mattel, and Coca-Cola.
After joining NVision Design, Dax quickly created and grew NVision’s Internet Solutions division. Dax transitioned this creative design company to a successful top 100 rated Web development firm in the US, as ranked by a premier Internet Publication. He was a key member of the executive team that led this startup from $60,000 seed capital to a highly profitable $7+ million sale in 2 years. Dax managed all areas of implementation, technical development, project management, and sales and account management. Dax also pioneered the patent-pending NStudio™ Content Management System that allowed NVision to slash project costs 50% and expanded market penetration. In addition, Dax helped create the NStorm™ viral marketing products that set new industry standards. Some of the viral marketing software was listed in top 10 most used unpackaged software worldwide. At NVision Design, Dax worked with industry leaders including Motorola, ClubCorp, Nabisco, TGI Friday's and Cinemark (Fandango.com).
Before joining NVision Design, Dax sat on the Board and was the Corporate MIS Executive for OnNet Solutions, a Dallas based Internet Security company. OnNet Solutions specialized in Internet technology solutions ranging from Web sites to high-level data security solutions. At OnNet Solutions, Dax architected and oversaw the implementation of the entire corporate technical infrastructure, including OnNet’s Web server farm. Dax also facilitated OnNet’s Internet based remote office system.
Previous to OnNet, Dax worked for IBM's Software Marketing Group, supporting the sales and marketing functions of IBM salespersons in the field. There he assisted in the implementation of automated sales support mechanisms, allowing for the easy deployment of IBM's latest technologies to any IBM salesperson worldwide. In addition, the field salesforce was able to use the Internet or remote access services to access demonstration servers to provide potential clients with live data demonstrations off remote servers. This allowed for increased sales because the client was able to see exactly what their personnel’s experience would be like when working remotely. Prior IBM experience included designing infrastructure and Lotus Notes-based applications to support the field sales force. IBM experience also included working trade shows allowing for the rare experience of fully functional, hands-on demos of advanced IBM software in action.
Past work experience has included teaching engagements, headquarters position with CompUSA, and IT Management positions supporting corporate operations including PC, UNIX, and AS/400 applications.
Dax has a B.S. in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington and is an Eagle Scout. He is married with two beautiful daughters. He is active in numerous community and professional organizations. In addition, he enjoys racing his Corvette on the Open Road Race circuit.
